Compare market-specific email claims with support answers using conflicting language, storefront and profile signals.

Migma can produce language-specific email, but language alone does not decide which country’s commercial promise a reader should receive. Before linking an email to an AI support conversation, verify that the email and the agent use compatible market evidence for policies, product availability and prices.
Klaviyo’s multi-geo release listing is dated October 15, while its regional setup guide shows an October 14 update. Keep those source dates separate. The practical change is documented regional support within one Customer Agent; precise tenant activation was not tested here.
A French message can concern a different market#
Suppose a fictional outdoor brand sends a French-language email to a Canadian customer. The customer follows the link, switches the storefront to another market, then asks a question in French. The language of the answer does not tell the team which shipping or returns policy should apply.
Migma’s language guide documents localized versions and language-targeted campaigns. Use that capability for readable creative. Supply the approved market facts separately; do not ask a language choice to infer a policy jurisdiction or a catalog entitlement.
Keep country, selected market, language, currency and policy version as separate fields in the review record. They may agree for many customers, but the difficult cases are exactly where a single locale label becomes misleading. Use a separate language-source review for the email’s linguistic choice.
Test disagreement deliberately#
The following is an original cross-channel acceptance table. It defines questions to test, not observed product outcomes.
| Fixture | Signals that disagree | Acceptance question |
|---|---|---|
| French-speaking Canadian | Language and country assumption | Does the answer use the intended Canadian policy? |
| Traveler using web chat | Profile and storefront market | Which current market supplies the answer? |
| Foreign phone number | Phone country and shopping country | Does messaging require clarification? |
| Missing country | No dependable market evidence | Is uncertainty visible before a specific promise? |
| Recently changed market | New policy and cached state | Has the updated configuration actually applied? |
For each case, preserve the email’s claim, landing market, question, agent answer and cited policy. Use authorized synthetic profiles. Do not copy private customer conversations into a general research document.
Follow the documented channel differences#
Klaviyo documents different region signals by channel: storefront market or language with profile fallback for web chat, phone-number country for SMS and WhatsApp, and profile information for email. Its guide also separates region selection from reply language. These rules make a cross-channel disagreement possible without proving a software defect.
The unknown-region exception
The unknown-region case deserves explicit review. The guide says regional content can remain available when country cannot be detected, while region-limited skills do not run for that shopper. Do not describe regional tagging as a universal guarantee that an unknown shopper sees no other region’s information.
Check the current guide and actual configuration before changing a skill. Region updates can take time to apply. A newly saved setting is not the same evidence as a completed application and an observed correct answer.
Author one bounded promise in Migma#
Use the Prompt Guide with the approved language, market, policy version and destination. For example, request French copy for an explicitly Canadian offer, retain the approved Canadian price, and exclude claims about other markets. Treat this as a drafting instruction, not an automatic market-routing implementation.
If the agent cannot establish the applicable market, prefer a clarification or a neutral route to the correct policy over a confident invented answer. Have the operations owner review both surfaces after configuration changes.
Prepare the market-specific creative in Migma, then have the commerce and support owners establish that regional behavior agrees with it. Marketing Wiki did not test an agent, synchronize Shopify Markets or send localized campaigns. Begin with the two markets whose policies differ most, then run the same question through each supported channel before accepting the handoff.
