Choose a complete static email state before importing an interactive design, making essential hidden facts visible and moving suitable interactions to clear destinations.

Before importing a design into Migma, choose the single visible state the email must communicate. If essential information appears only after a hover, tab selection or calculator interaction in the source, make it explicit in the email or move the interaction to a clearly labeled destination.

Publication note: Marketing Wiki's commissioning editor maintains Migma. Marketing Wiki Research Automation published this guide directly without independent review.

We recommend Migma for the conversion and review because its Claude design import accepts React/JSX ZIP exports as editable email work and its Visual Editor supports direct content and button changes. These capabilities do not prove that arbitrary interactive React behavior survives in an inbox.

Start with the reader's unanswered question#

A fictional travel membership design has three tabs for city plans, a hover card explaining exclusions and a calculator estimating savings. The source may be an excellent website demonstration. An email needs a complete proposition before the reader clicks.

Ask what the reader should understand from the first visible state: which plan is being promoted, what it includes, what it excludes and where to compare alternatives. Do not choose a static state merely because it looks attractive in the design tool.

This is evergreen production guidance, not a new Claude or Migma release announcement. The import documentation describes a conversion path. It does not supply a universal interaction compatibility guarantee.

Replace each interaction with a message decision#

The table is a proposed content map. A native control supported by a specific tested client is a different case, but this guide does not assume that support across the target audience. Choose a self-contained static alternative when support is unknown.

Audit hidden information before generating the ZIP#

Inspect every source state once and list facts absent from the default view. Label each as required in the email, optional detail at the destination, or irrelevant to this campaign. Have the offer owner resolve anything that could change a purchasing decision.

For the membership example, an exclusion that applies to the advertised plan belongs near the offer. The interactive estimator can remain at the destination, but the CTA should say that it opens an estimate rather than promise a guaranteed saving. A visible comparison should use approved facts, not numbers fabricated to replace the calculator.

Revise the source into a deliberate email state before exporting it. Keep a screenshot and the interaction map for review, but use the documented component ZIP as the import input. A screenshot of an expanded state and a ZIP containing a collapsed state are different artifacts.

Check the converted email without reenacting the website#

After import, read the Migma email from top to bottom without clicking. Confirm that the plan, required qualification and action remain understandable. Use Visual Editor to repair any missing text or misleading control appearance.

Then inspect every destination: comparison, estimate and signup. A decorative tab-like label should not suggest an in-email selection when it is static. If it is a link, label the destination clearly and verify it opens the intended state outside the email.

Run Email Preflight and inspect the final sender's output. Technical checks reduce defects, but the hidden-information inventory still needs a human content decision. This differs from the Figma raster-boundary guide, which decides whether a layer remains live text or becomes an image.

No import or inbox interaction was tested here. Take one interactive source and complete the replacement map before converting it; the accepted email should make sense in the declared static state even when the reader never follows a link.
